It's Never Too Late To Be What You Might Have Been – Mary Ann Evans
Thoughts To Contemplate
When you’re at a low, remember that that’s exactly what it is: a low. It’s not permanent, it’s not forever. It’s a low because things are about to turn around and lead you to so many better things. It’s a low because it’s a new beginning for beautiful times ahead. Things will start looking up. Light is coming your way, beautiful friend, remember that. And know that it’s okay to be at a low; it’s okay to be struggling. But it’s not okay to think that this low defines you. It’s not okay to think that this low is all you are. Because it’s not. This low will pass. These tough times will end. Beginnings are coming.Light is coming. Joy is coming. Peace is coming…This is just a low and before you know, you’ll be soaring again. I promise. – Nikki Banas (Walk the earth)
Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. -Fred Roger World Mental Health Day 2020.
When you fill your mind with thoughts of kindness, love, faith, hope, & joy, your reality will become all of these things. You will start to see kindness in the world. You will start to feel love as you go about your day. You will notice more of the little joys of this life. You’ve tried listening to your fears and doubts and they’ve never brought you happiness. It’s time to start choosing love. It’s time you start choosing faith.
– Nikki Banas (Walk the earth)
It is not beauty that endears, it’s love that makes us see beauty.
– Leo Tolstoy
I lied and said I was busy. I was busy; but not in way most people understand.
I was busy taking deeper breaths. I was busy silencing irrational thoughts. I was busy calming a racing heart. I was busy telling myself I am okay.
Sometimes, this is my busy- and I will not apologize for it.
– Brittin Oakman
Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe. no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
– Sylvia Plath
The one thing you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your vision, your story. So, write and draw, dance and live, build and play, as only you can.
– Neil Gaiman
Invest in people who invest in you.
Every season is one of becoming. But not always one of blooming. Be gracious with your ever-evolving self.
Maybe it’s out imperfections which make us so perfect for one another.
– Douglas McGrath (Emma)
Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and the awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.
– L. R. Knost
Taking care of yourself doesn’t mean “me first.” It means “me, too.” You matter. Your happiness matters. Your health matters. Your dream matters. Today do at least one thing for you. Take a walk in the rain. Meet a friend for coffee. Read a book. Plan a trip. Hug a tree. Help a stranger. Create something. Sing something. Learn something. Whatever it is that makes you smile, do a little of it each day. Your children are watching. Let them see you happy.
